Nature of Work in Carpentry :
Framing, Wood & Metal; Ceilings, Suspended & Glue-up; Lathing; Pedestal Flooring; Concrete forms, Columns, Walls, Slabs, Tilt-ups, etc; Doors & Hardware; Cabinet Installation; Plastic Laminates; Interior Finishes, Welding; Blueprint Reading; and more.
Nature of Work for Millwrights:
Installation of Monorails, Conveyors, Machinery Turbines, Pumps and so on. Welding, Alignment, and Maintenance of Equipment.
Apprentice wage rates are based on a 4 (four) year progressive scale. Starting wages are 50% of Journeyman scale. The apprentice receives an avenge of 2 (two) raises per year.

The program is a four year combination of school & on the job training. The apprentice attends one week of school approximately every 12 weeks. He/She is required to complete 16 units of instruction over the 4 year apprenticeship: and work 6,000 hours on the job.
Applicants must meet the following requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be abel to physically perform the essential function of the trade with reasonable accommodations.
- Provide the following documentation:
A) High School Diploma or G.E.D.
B) Valid Picture Identification
C) Job Corp papers (if applicable)
D) Military Papers (if applicable)
- Pass a basic math test.
- Participate in an oral interview & orientation.
- Successfully complete a drug screening.
